Happy Niu Year!

Happy New Year people! There sure is many New Years within a year in our Asian society eh? There's the New Year in every 1st of January... Then there's the Chinese New year like now... Okay, maybe not alot. But still, one more than the Caucasians, ha!

So, for Ang Moh(Caucasians) beginners, you need to know that every Lunar New Year is the year of one animal from the Chinese zodiacs. In order of sequence, there's the rat, ox, tiger rabbit, dragon, snake, horsem ram, monkey, rooster, dog and pig. This year, it's the Year of the Ox.

Frankly speaking, people like me can't really tell the difference between a cow, bull, cattle or an ox. Or was there a difference in the first place?

Beah?

One thing for sure which I know of is that a/an cow/bull/cattle/ox will all eventually end up as something call the beef.

In fact, the first thing I could think of at the moment I was told that it was the Year of the Ox was:

Ikea Swedish Meatballs

Mmmm... Year of the Ox...

Sure, Year of the Beef Ox... Happy 牛(Ox) Year everyone!
