Channel 8 Vivo Countdown Party 2009

And I was talking about the tickets I got from Edward's bro. There I did it. I went to the "Channel 8 Vivo Countdown Party 2009"!

Before that, I gotta thank JH. Cause that day's expenses were fully sponsored by him. The Korean food, the Starbucks, the MacDonald's and the cab fare. Hehehex.

Well, here it is(forgive me for the bad picture quality as I was sitting rather far away from the front seats). There were songs.

Dances.

A big happy family reunion of all the performing performers of that night at the end of the show like all the every other shows on Mediacorp.

To be honest, I didn't quite liked the party. It didn't even felt like one. As compared to the all the other countdown events which Channel 8 had previously held, this one was bad. Real bad.

Yes, I know, the crowd is there.

People started queuing up for admission since morning.

The location's good, ain't stuffy.

Stage set-up, not bad.

But, everthing else that is good stops there.

Firstly, the problem lies within Campus Superstar Season 2 champion, Shawn Toh(卓轩正).

What is it about him? The midget had finally hit puberty, in a bad way. His voice broke and it didn't sound as good as it was. Or maybe I'm just not used to it. But could someone please bring his old voice back? *prepares castration tools*

And what was another thing bad about him hitting puberty? He aint't growing any taller.

Secondly, what the Hell was going through the minds of "Lucify" band members? When they participated in SuperBand Season 1, I loved them, supported them. Cause they sing cool, act cool and looked cool.

And noticed? It's "looked", not "look". On New Year's eve, that's what they looked like:

What the heck was that?! It's worse when they stood alongside 异世界.

Please tell me that the only reason you dressed up like some boys next door that day was because you all woke up late and had no time to dress up.

How I miss the old Lucify...

Okay, maybe the new one isn't that bad afterall.

Third factor which sabotaged the whole show was because they invited "By 2".

As some of you should have known by now. "By 2" is Singapore's very own little "band" which consist of two members. The older one is known by many as "大(Big)By" and the younger one, "小(Small)By".

Wah kao. Simi chee-By name is that?!

Perhaps it's just me, but their dance moves were like...

You don't get it? I don't get it too. But if you look closer, I think you should see something.

Epic failure. Maybe not the epic part but, a failure nonetheless.

Oh, and there was actually another good thing about this event. I managed to have an upclose encounter with Jeanette Aw(欧宣). She was one of the nicest artist around to even specifically came outta the dressing room just to shake her fans' hand.

How do I even thank her for her effort and sincerity? By taking her pictures ofcourse.

Extremely unglam shot of Jeanette Aw(this is for you, Hian Jing).

I'm sorry, it wasn't on purpose!
